auto everyday

living in pune city is very interesting, not only the people but also almost everything. it has been said that pune is the most save place to live in india... well that's may be the reason why my training has been held here. again along with my first statement, the first thing that i would like to say is about auto, the short name for auto-rickshaw. an original vehicle from india with three wheels which has 2 cabins, one for driver, one for passengers. in jakarta we call it as bajay, but auto is quite larger than that (can hold up to 4 passenger). the other feature comparing with jakarta's bajay is that auto doesn't have doors so passenger feels more free inside.

definitely i can say that there is only auto in pune, no taxy. so wherever you will go, wether you can use bus, your own vehicle or by auto. i prefer to go by auto because it is quite fast and behaves like taxi. it has a standard price for any particular distance which is measured by a device that people here called it as 'meter'. first thing that should be in your mind (especially foreigner) is that not all auto drivers are honest, so you must know the rule. the amount of fare you should pay is equal to number shown in 'meter' x 6 + 2. but, it also has an exception if the number of passenger is more than 3. if that so, we should add some additional fare that is not standardized. that's small info about auto here.
